Project Cars career mode gameplay. My third season and my first GT4 race meeting at Dubai Autodrome in the Toyota GT-86 Rocket Bunny.

Yes, it was a rude awakening. The first sprint race amounted to me driving around in last place the entire time so I won't bother to upload the video...nothing to see here, moving on.

I uploaded this following a comment from one of my subscribers who was keen to see it and, to be fair, what is a career series without the failures anyway?

This was the main race and I fared little better although at least I actually had some fun racing as part of a group of three tail end Charlies in company with a V8 Vantage and a Mustang Boss which hopefully you will find entertaining.

Despite preparing as well as I could, no matter what I tried I could not get the car to handle the way I wanted and it just seemed downright slow against the other GT4 cars. Having since spent a bit more time with the car, I realize that it wasn't really a terrible performance, (my lap times of around 1m 49s would earn me a spot within the top 15 in the TT leaderboards) and was getting as much out of the Toyota as my skills would allow.

The GT-86 Rocket Bunny is definitely not as quick as the other GT4 runners though, certainly not at a track like this. I ran a few laps in a Vantage just to see how I fared and was able to take 5 seconds off my average lap times in the Toyota without too much effort.

All my work proved to be for nought anyway, as my race came to an abrupt end when I pitted for tyres and was informed by my engineer that my gearbox was "kaput"! The Mustang I had worked so hard to catch and pass managed to exit the pit before me anyway, so it is doubtful I would have improved my position much in any case, but it would have been nice to have tried after completing as many laps as I did.

The next round is at Sakitto International and you'll be able to see all the action here on my channel in the next week or so.
